I've been following (with glee) Trump's legal train-wrecks on the Meidas Touch Network so I knew much of this article's (well done) text. But it was worth reading it just to get to see Jared Moskowitz's 5 minutes. "If you are going to throw mud, you have to have mud" was a ripper line! To call the Republicans on this committee clowns is to defame talented, honourable circus entertainers.

First I would like to thank you for this interesting coverage. Secondly, I would like to ask whether you think this is blowing up in Putin's face, or just Russian mobsters in general. I mean, don't they all launder money through Trump's real estate holdings in New York if not elsewhere too? If they had not pushed for Trump to win, would his businesses get this kind of attention now? I mean, he has been humming along for a long, long time as corrupt as can be and one could count on nothing happening based on the fact that nothing ever did. Now what is going to happen to those parties who own properties bought from Trump that are hugely overvalued, through which they are laundering money? What is the trickle down effect going to be for the criminal underworld with Trump losing and losing and losing? Doesn't this make life for all of these judges and lawyers super risky?
I saw an interesting bit on the value of Mar A Lago. Apparently a while ago trump did a deal with the assessor to put restrictions on the property because these would give him a tax break. I don't know what restrictions--perhaps historical preservation status? But the problem is that these restrictions make it much harder for anyone to use or develop the property. Guess what affects property value downward? Those very restrictions. The ones that gave him a tax break on the property tax.
Moskowitz is the Al Franken of the House of Representatives. I, too, was laughing, although what he said was spot on, as well, as only a stand-up comedian can skewer the false statements of the trumpists. AOC was also spot on, but she was more serious. She is really a stealth prosecutor at heart if not in fact.
The worst thing about what Donalds did was when, as he was being utterly exposed by AOC for his outright lie, he continued to smirk like he had done something clever.
Love Jared Moskowitz... and Raskin, and AOC, and everyone who took apart the GOP stupidity piece by piece. Would that this had clued them into the idea that pursuing this is not the game changer that they hoped it would be, but we aren't that lucky.
