Someone like Hawley referring to "manly men" just makes me think of the main song from "Robin Hood: Men In Tights".

"It's about being able to live your life free from the government telling you what to do."

The government mandates auto insurance, driver's licenses, children's education, children's vaccines in order to partake in that education, passports, birth and death certificates, proper burial (for public health). The government legislates against drunk driving, requires you to stop at stop signs and red lights and to drive on the correct side of the road, all so people don't die needlessly.

Where has Sears been living that the government has never told her what to do?

Don't you think we're far past getting confrontational with republicans? Like, don't have them on unless you will 100%make them look foolish and even then... are we sure that foolishness will scan for a GOP voter watching? Journalists aren't referees. 40% of the country thinks these people are essentially working for Joe Biden and putting them in opposition to GOP politicians on TV just adds fuel to the fire.

Don't let them control the conversation. Journalists need to start getting into the business of countering information in ways more sophisticated than fact-checking and opposition. We need robust knowledge networks that are operating independently of the GOP talking points, dedicated to teaching the information, not the controversy.

Guessing you aren't expecting people to take the time to click the natural immunity link because it does not say what you purport it to say. Clearly "the science" is unsettled.

ya, that article is confusing and written in science language. The CDC cites it here clarifying. Maybe you should email the people who wrote the study and ask them to explain it to you. They often respond. But in the meantime, you are not qualified to just read this stuff and draw conclusions.

"More recent observational cohort studies including over 700,000 health system users in Israel and over 11,000 healthcare workers in India reported that history of prior infection provided greater protection from subsequent infection than vaccination alone, but overall risk of infection was lowest among those that were vaccinated following infection during periods of Delta predominance" citation 93
