He can’t shake this story because it’s the truth. He wouldn’t know the truth even if it punched him in the face. You can be assured that every comment he makes, every attempt to blame someone else (such as President Obama), is Trump prevarication at its worst. Excellent companion pieces in today’s National Republic.

Most likely: there is evidence that Trump was with young girls/children. That's the only thing I can think of that would have Trump so spooked.

It's looking more and more like much more than merely a crazy coincidence that Trump made Alex Acosta the Secretary of Labor in Trump's first term. Acosta was the U.S. Attorney who cut the first absurd and obscene sweetheart deal with Epstein. Acosta purported to bind the U.S. government to refrain from prosecuting Epstein--and he violated federal law by concealing the terms of that agreement from Epstein's victims. To me, this scandal underscores that Trump is becoming a lame duck, even with his overt efforts to undermine other branches of government. The big thing here is that the MAGA influencers have an eye on their own personal fortunes post-Trump. To Bongino, there’s millions potentially at stake with his listeners. There are political futures too.
