Sure. Let's give him the nuclear codes again.

I'm not sure if Trump was thinking or acting tactically. He gives every impression of being a rich man child who has never accepted not getting his way and when he doesn't he just wants to blow off steam. The judge clearly has a low opinion of him (as any decent judge would). The carry on in court will go down well with his supporters who would back him anyway, remind independent voters why they didn't vote for him in 2020 and increase the prospect of a severe judgement from the judge in the not too distant future. I'm happy to see Trump spending such huge amounts of money on such ineffectual lawyering by the way, though in defense of his attorneies he's the client from hell.

People give him too much credit when they think he's doing anything other than gratifying his own id. It's like saying a 3 year old is a brilliant businessman.

Just about. Plus he has blown that "great businessman" bs completely up. You go, Donnie 2-books you freak & a fraud.

His base will eat it up and donate more.

A significant contempt of court fine is in order - 10 million sounds like a good starting point

His attorney must have little self respect to go along with all of this. I can't imagine anyone wanting to demean themselves this much. I guess money is more important to him then respect.

I admire the judge's patience, and he probably did the right thing. But I hope the worst happens to Trump.

What money? Orange Turd is well known for not paying his lawyers, unless the current ones were smart enough to demand some sort of payment up front. But they have proven to not be so smart.

His attorney isn't going to get any money either. Trump stiffs everybody.

Trump's PAC paid Kise $3 million upfront to leave his former law firm, and humiliate himself this way. So he got paid anyway. Don't know about this Habba woman. Three million dollars would not be enough for me to lower myself to do Donald's bidding, but then, I have some self-respect.

Nah, he paid this one.

As I read this, I think about the promise that the internet held at its inception, and now all of the purposes that it has. This one where Trump uses his "Truth" Social to tell LIES over and over again, is certainly not an uplifting use of the media. May he lose all of his money, and may the donors that fund him lose all of theirs.

I think the legal profession needs to increase coverage of professional behavior and ethics in all of its law school courses. Grifter lawyers damage the image of the legal profession. Yes, I'm familiar that even Shakespeare commented on lawyers, but remember all the attorneys who showed up at the airports when Trump issued his Muslim ban, and remember attorneys, such as Marc Elias, who are fighting for voting rights. Every profession has its share of grifters but most don't get such constant coverage and the ABA should speak out against such behavior.

Excellent!

Trump’s ’Closing’ WILL impact the verdict.

Lest we forget though: Habba failed to check the box requesting a jury trial.

Also, the assured appeal will be interesting.

His lawyer was paid up front but get a look at his plastic face.

Chris Kise is no longer considered anything but a loser among losers and he always will be no matter how much he was paid.

I am guessing but it probably was a great relief to Judge Engoron that this trial is almost over. From start to finish Trump and his lawyers pushed every boundary and button to make this into a reality show for Trump. I have the greatest respect for Judge Engoron for being the adult in the room. And unfortunately the Trump legal team just added to the trope of Lawyers being Sharks. $3million seems to be the price for Mr. Kise's loss of character.

Geez, how is this whiney baby-man someone's idea of a presidential candidate? wtf, already?

I know, everyone asks but the void persist.

Not the point, but what is Kise attempting to prove with no capital letters?

You're right Joy P though I've given up on his base learning sense. What matters is that they won't persuade others to vote for him and their votes are already in the bank as far as Trump is concerned.

Trump’s behavior is beyond belief. He and his lawyers should incur a very heavy fine for this theatrical stunt. Textbook contempt of court.

@Runfast, you crack me up.

The Judge is in charge of

"The Deal". The Deal happens

to be how much DJT & Co. will wind up paying for defrauding NYS. DJT & Co. also stand to lose a lot more

in real estate in NY, which is

very pricey. Trump is impotent before the LAW.

I hope so! Like to the tune of the full $350 million then treble for damages...We'll see...

So far all the judge has done is make empty threats to do what? something? other than a $15,000 fine. Anyone else would have long been jailed for contempt as well as for violating the judge's gag order. Try to imagine if a black man accused of say shoplifting had pulled that stunt of interrupting the judge, insulting everyone in the court, and storming out to make a statement to the idiots in the press. He'd a been jailed faster than you can say Jack Robinson. Ergo, impotent.
