Project 2025 would get rid of both fema & noaa. DeSantis refused to talk to Harris. You know he’s going to turn around & blame her for Milton’s devastation.

It also shows what an idiot he is.

he owns a social club on one of Florida’s barrier islands. He should be very familiar with hurricane season.

In fact, he got an insurance payment for damage due to Hurricane Wilma. (Hey, Look at that! End of the alphabet, end of the season.)

I made an edit to your essay heading: Trump is appalling and getting worse. It's a perfect storm of ignorance and malevolence. This pretty much sums up Trump and the Republican Party. They truly do not care about anyone but themselves.

I'm sure all of what you say is true. But DeSantis is even worse because he is refusing federal help. He refused the money from the inflation reduction act. He refused money for hurricane Helene and he will probably refuse money now too. These are our tax dollars that are being used to help our country become more resilient and he is putting his head in the sand and calling it the woke mind virus. He is a dangerous dangerous threat to Florida and we are stuck with this asshole until 2026. It is interesting that Arizonans are Gaga over MAGA, its lies and leaders, when it comes to climate change. I love Arizona, but the aspect of so many consecutive days over 110 degrees is stupefying. These dopes are election deniers, too. Last night’s 60 Minutes episode featured a piece on a woman who’s leading a campaign of denials over the 2020 election and is poised to do the same this year. And the violence she stokes has caused death threats against election officials who were simply doing their job. This seems to be the epicenter of MAGA craziness. Ruben Gallego is waging a tough campaign against Kari Lake and he must win. VOTE BLUE for climate change sensibility!

It wouldn’t. The result would prove catastrophic.

Trump's "zinger" about "more waterfront property" has a corollary, because rising seas will not create "more" waterfront property, just DIFFERENT waterfront property. You beach house will be gone, and the canny guy who bought the house 3 blocks back will be the "winner." Unless his house fails to survive a storm surge, of course.

Re climate change: After decades of watching cop shows on television, even I know that “malice afore thought” is an element of murder. Donald Trump—step forward and place your right hand on the Oklahoma bible …
