This whole tariff tantrum reads like the United States doing community theater. Canada, the geopolitical equivalent of a golden retriever in a scarf, is suddenly our arch‑nemesis because… milk? Lumber? Feelings?

It’s peak American farce: a country that can’t keep its own bridges standing now fantasizing about a trade war with its politest neighbor. The U.S. isn’t being “taken advantage of” by Canada; it’s being taken advantage of by its own political class, who treat tariffs like a mood disorder.

If you ever needed proof that U.S. politics has become performance art, here it is, a dope store goon yelling at Canada like it’s a Bond villain with a maple‑syrup weapons program.

Reality keeps beating satire to the punch, and this piece just documents the latest episode of America’s long-running absurdist show.

"And if courts let him use it the way he’s threatening, he’ll be free to wreak havoc on the global economy."

Courts didn't let him use his first tariffs - he lost all the way up to SCOTUS. & has the admin refunded any of those unconstitutional tariffs that his regime collected?

“…the US is tearing down the post-war order that lasted for 50 years…” Seventy-five years, correct?

Aaron, you do the Lord’s work. FWIW, I appreciate it every day.

Assuming the electorate comes to its senses and elects someone untainted by Trump the question remains how long will it take for the memories of that vicious bufoon to dissipate and a sense of trust develop in the US. I'm not a Canadian but I reckon we could be talking at least a decade.

28 major fires in the US: Idaho 4, Florida 3, more in other red states. So, is he telling his MAGA

fans to go rake the forests in Florida? Florida!

Suggestion - send his sons to show people how to rake a wildfire.

Hard to decide which of Mr. Trump’s personality traits are more offensive: his ego, his lack of a coherent strategies and appropriate tactics, his greed, his lack of integrity, his taste… in everything, his lack of dignity and respect for dignity…. Endless choices. However on a more basic level his lumbering gait, rounded shoulders and rasping voice really jump out..

If you need a good laugh, I recommend watching Canadian Bacon, a John Candy movie about the US President deciding he needs an enemy to improve his ratings and chooses Canada. John Candy, playing a small town US sheriff, and a couple of friends, decide to invade Canada.

I’d like to know what kind of people attended the speech of T…p in Georgia? Are those people so attracted to his lying? Does anything that comes out of his mouth actually mean anything? T…p is a little man with less no morality and his evil ways are taking us to perdition. Better Georgians should pay attention to Jon Ossoff.

“…although not before letting him illegally collect upwards of $100 billion from American businesses”…, WHICH THEY IN TURN HAD COLLECTED FROM AMERICAN CONSUMERS, WHO HAVE NOT BEEN REPAID ONE FUCKING CENT!

Goddammit, Liz, WTF are you talking about? Fuck American business up the ass.
