What little backbone some of the Republican Senators had, is gone. They voted to fund DHS for the rest of Trump’s term late last week. And they didn’t kill the slush fund.
My Senator Thom Tillis who has portrayed a having a backbone ever since he decided not to run for re-election and now has nothing to lose voted for those funds. So much for that backbone.
For me it’s a tie as to who wins the title. Bimbo Bondi sold her soul and betrayed all women/girls when she took up Trump’s Epstein sword. Pam came out from under the desk and Todd immediately dove in to replace her.
November can’t get here soon enough😖
Orange will definitely be the new black for these two.
Great take on this, Noah! Thanks for starting my week off right❣️
Until Bondi was fired, I referred to DOJ as the law firm of Bondi and Blanche. If it was acting like Trump's personal law firm, it should be named like a law firm. It's been the Department of Injustice or Department of Retribution since Jan 20, 2025.
Alas, I have no confidence that the rethug sock puppets in the Senate, who always voice "concern" to the media and then in the dead of night vote for whatever toxic excreta drumpf wants to dump on the nation, will vote against drumpf's personal defense lawyer (and clearly not a good one since he defended drumpf into 34 convictions).
Bondi is trying to blame Blanche for the Epstein files debacle. After watching her aggressive, nasty, disrespectful testimony before Congress I find it hard to believe she couldn’t stand up to Blanche — unless he or Trump have some information they are holding over her.
Just what "questions" does Mr. Cornyn need answered about the slushfund? This is flagrantly wrong. They talk big, then cave when it comes to voting. Of course Trump and Blanche are going to do this. Not enough that he pardoned these disgusting criminals, now he wants to make them rich with OUR money. What kind of crime do I need to commit to get a Trump payoff? These so-called public servants show us every day that they are un-American. I feel I deserve at least a tax refund for unauthorized use of those funds.
Of course Blanche is worse. The only real question is: Do Republican Senators (now that most primaries are over) stand up to Trump or not. Do they abase themselves more to Trump, or do they consider their General Election chances more carefully.
Bondi 'failed' to keep scandals from being about Trump, whether it was Epstein or ICE, while she did defend Trump, she failed to make it all about herself, and she let far too much about Trump in the Epstein files leak out to the public.
Besides, by firing her, it blocked that path of communication for a bit, changed the narrative, made the news more about her... Basically Trump sacrificed Bondi for a 'news cycle'. Shows how well he rewards loyalty.
Time and time again, the corrupt regime/junta goons prove that there are no depths to which they will sink. We all thought that scraping the bottom of the barrel by naming Blondie Bondi AG represented the lowest of the low. As we all found out, they blew a hole in the bottom of the barrel and went to the center of the earth with the Blanche (I love you sir, but not the Constitution. Wink, wink) nomination.
I'm surprised that he is able to wipe the brown off his nose when he appears in public. He is the most nauseating of all the ginormous army of MAGAt sycophants. He CANNOT become the AG and it is time for those who were primaried and shafted by the mad lunatic to exact their own retribution.
Corruption in the administraton of Justice is one of the worst misfortunes that can befall a nation. The US under Trump 2.0 has it in spades.
Under this regime the US has indeed become a light on a hill. A terrible warning to other democracies about what to avoid.
The Trump Administration has so
many “mosts”! Most corrupt, most venal, most dumbest … the list goes on.
Can not wait til the Dems control government again…. And make these scumbags sing! Down with MAGA.

I know right?

Talk about losers! The loser of the case selects his loser lawyer to be Attorney General! Definitely the action of a stable genius. /s

Brave before the microphone … shivering when not.
How did we end up with this horrible mess???

Thank you, Mr. Berlatsky. The bottom of the barrel is crowded.
Blanche should know that with Trump, loyalty is a one way street; there are no monuments to Bruce Cutler.
