This is why they want the women barefoot and pregnant. No need for daycares…😡 There’s no shame with these morons.

As always Lisa Needham is easy to follow and full of important info, not just on the latest ridiculous knee jerk reaction to a 23yo ‘influencer’ but on the hands off oversight leading to fraud across private business.

So a government is freezing all the Child care funds in a state it doesn't like on the basis of no documented fraud at all???? Did I read this right? I'll be relieved if someone points out I got this wrong.

Apart from being malicious this is just straight laughably incompetent. It seems anything goes in Trump-land America.

I'd like to believe this will blow up in the face of the government but I'm afraid I'm losing confidence in the ability of the US to self-correct....at least while the Republicans control all of the houses of government.

I've never understood how Rick Scott could go from heading up the biggest CMS fraud to becoming a Senator. But failing upwards is what CEOs are most skilled at doing.

It gets worse (or got worse). He went from ex-Governor of FLORIDA (subtle) to Senator. Nuff said.

Nothing says that we are living in a Twilight Zone episode like Harmeet Kaur Dhillon being U.S. assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division:

Immigrant.

Brown skin.

Twice divorced.

Undergraduate degree from Dartmouth.

Likened college president to Hitler.

Board member of the northern California chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

Contributor to the political campaign of Kamala Harris.

Just about skipped over this because of the title...

Just sounds whiney. Was worth the read but a more interesting or meaningful title would help get it out there.

I really wish we could eliminate the words "nonprofit" and "not-for-profit". These organizations must produce a profit so they can grow and improve. They do not have shareholders or any type of owners, but they must produce a profit that is then plowed back into the organization or kept as a reserve. Unfortunately, many people believe the label and not the reality. These organizations are generally not taxed (although they can be subject to tax on their unrelated business income) and most donations are deductible for tax purposes. With Trump et al eliminating much government safety net monies, these organizations are even more important.

Today's PN is a tremendous service. The last para. provides s-o-m-e consolation as the rampage on the most vulnerable devastates like wildfire. More consolation would come from aggressively disseminated corrections on media.
