Musk is the sort of self-indulgent, entitled buffoon who gives billionaires a bad name. PS I wouldn't want to bet that Trump is a billionaire as was stated in this piece.

Musk is also apparently in the Asperger spectrum, which is obvious in his behavior. People in my book club claim that he did not actually innovate as buy an idea at the right time. So, he has good instincts for buying things. I am hoping that a day comes when this all blows up in his face. I hope electing Harris moves that along.

He never was the genius he claimed to be but he could put up a good front. Not anymore. Too much money and too many drugs have inevitably fried his brain. Now he's a dangerous nutcase with too much money and no one to stop him from using it to destroy our democracy. It beggars belief.

Musk is a racist narcissistic fascist just like trumpy, but he can’t run for President under the current rules. But he knows he can buy trumpy & the Presidency, though he’s such a narcissist he doesn’t believe that trumpy would or could screw him like he has everyone else throughout his life. When these two turn on each other, it’s going to be one helluva show.

Elon Musk is not the first automaker to spew conspiracy bullshit—remember Henry Ford and is daily antisemitic musings?

Referencing appointing Musk as the cost-cutter in his administration, Trump is quoted as follows: “And he said, ‘I could cut costs without affecting anybody.’” Apparently, cutting Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the Dept. of Education, DOJ, the social safety net programs, etc. would not affect anyone. Voters don't count. I suspect that Musk won't cut military spending. With Musk paying a lottery of $1M he'll add another audit to the list. This may be an IRS audit of his PAC to determine if his PAC is withholding the mandatory Federal 24% tax on lottery winnings. Is his PAC also withholding for state and/or local taxes? Are the winners informed that the winnings are subject to withholding and that they're fully taxable? Granted, I'd take $1M (but not from Musk) even if it was subject to withholding, but at least I know the tax consequences.

Correct, Musk would be a booster for military spending actually - he wants to sell the military a lot of robots in the future.

Great piece. As usual. I wish Musk would knock on my door. But as I live in Miami he'd probably be afraid to as there's a lot of Cybertrucks on the road. He'd get run over.

For an allegedly smart guy, Musk has cast himself as a villain and a liar. He’s inserted into Trump’s campaign because he expects something big in return, probably a reduction in the corporate tax schedule. His participation means nothing to most Trump supporters and will probably cost us all dearly if Trump gets elected. Not to mention the National Debt explosion and getting off the hook on his Federal legal battles.
