At the beginning I thought congresswoman was a bit radical, now I know she was right, everything she proposes is correct in my opinion.

Oh, so now we’re having a serious conversation about dismantling DHS and abolishing ICE? How refreshing.

Only took ICE executing people in broad daylight, lying about it, operating with masked agents like an occupying force, and terrorizing American cities for Democrats to finally say the quiet part loud.

Ramirez is right: “DHS is the greatest threat to the homeland.” But let’s be real—this isn’t new information. ICE has been brutal for years. The difference is it’s happening in Minneapolis and Chicago now, not just border towns. Suddenly it’s a crisis worth addressing when it’s your constituents getting disappeared.

And sure, “ICE will be abolished, DHS will be dismantled”

great slogan. Except Democrats don’t control the House. Schumer’s already backing down on requiring agents to unmask. This is performance for the base while the actual leverage gets negotiated away in backrooms.

Here’s the tell: Ramirez admits this bill won’t advance unless Democrats retake the House in November. You know, the election they’re currently letting Trump rig through voter intimidation, poll “officers,” and FBI raids on election offices. So the plan is… wait until after the rigged election to dismantle the apparatus doing the rigging?

ICE operating with impunity isn’t a bug. It’s the design.

Now that Trump’s weaponizing what they built, they’re shocked, shocked!—that fascists use fascist tools fascistically.

Dismantle DHS? Sure. Right after you explain why you funded it for 20 years.

Keep the BS coming

Brava!! ICE should go the way of the Gestapo or the KGB. We ordinary Americans do not want gangs of under-trained, incompetent, vicious, violent armed criminals roaming our streets!

If ever there were public and lawmaker appetite for abolishing/defunding DHS, it is now. All this 000s of extra hires coming online, they are for election interference/sabotage. People need to be prepared for not being able to rely on past institutions and practices supporting elections and election results.

Congresswoman Ramirez is the answer to the crucial question: where is Chicago's AOC? We can elect more like her if lazy incumbents get out and stay out, instead of trying to anoint their replicants to take their place. I'm talking to you, Danny Davis.

Our nation faces internal conflict beyond Mr. Trump, who was dumb enough to be trapped by Russia’s tactics, including flattery, sex, and money. This is part of Mr. Putin’s effort to weaken the U.S., motivated by his view that America dismantled the Soviet Union.

Time will reveal the truth about Trump and his treasonous destruction of our government, but our nation – Congress and the public - move at a snail’s pace. Congress needs to enforce the Epstein Files Bill and send the Capitol Police to the DOJ and collect every single page. And the public needs to listen to “Why Delia Ramirez thinks DHS needs to be closed.”

Mr. Trump is a stooge, instructed by Putin in his effort to demolish the United States. On January 6th, Trump sat in his private dining room at the White House and watched the violence and destruction of our Capitol FOR HOURS. He has repeated this mentally ill behavior – craving his predatory bloodlust and sanguinary obsession with the DHS and immigration issues. I would guess that most of the men employed by DHS also participated in January 6th. Delia Ramierez is correct – demolish DHS.

It is important for the public to understand that the geopolitical tensions between the United States and Russia persisted. While Gorbachev shook hands and signed agreements, so the world believed the official Cold War ended – IT DID NOT. I experienced this time in Moscow during the 1990s and part of the 2000s. I observed these ongoing dynamics firsthand: the KGB take over of the government from Yeltsin; the transfer of all powers from the KGB to the FSB – so the western world thought that Russia was democratizing – resulting in the CIA reducing staff by 25%; the millions of dollars stolen from USAID and The World Bank (I worked as a consultant to both); and the massive expansion of Russian Organized Crime (ROC) now located in every single US state.

Putin’s plan was top-down destruction of the U.S. government by Mr. Trump, and bottom-up chaos and crime in American towns and cities. They create fires/arson, cyber-attacks, murder, bombings, drug distribution, sports gambling, etc. In October 2025, an ammunition plant in TN was blown up killing 19 employees. This plant created weapons for Ukraine. In NC, a Judge’s home was burned down. This Judge refused to give DOJ their voter registration information. And in Michigan, a Mormon Church was burned killing three people. This church was among the largest organizations in the US donating goods and food to Ukraine.

I wrote From Democracy to Democrazy in 2018 - it is now a bestseller on Amazon, but I predicted the destruction our country faces today.

To put the pieces of our democracy puzzle back together once Trump is gone, may take decades. His overwhelming devastation and havoc are extensive. I only hope the next generation of Americans will be as dedicated to our country as Robert and others. Thank you for your daily efforts. Elziabeth

Agree 💯 %- ICE is not redeemable. Dismantle and replace with an Immigration and Naturalization agency that does not trample human dignity and rights. Why the Dems even bother with what should already have been put in place is ridiculous. It’s full of evil from the leaders to the agents- shut it down.

Representative Ramirez is so right. Continuing to fund/feed the DHS/ICE/CBP beast is the very definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Better training, removing masks, using body cameras, etc. does nothing to reign in the marauding thugs who are terrorizing both citizens and legal resident non-citizens. Cutting 700 agents in MSP still leaves about 2,000 goons to continue their reign of terror.

Replacing Bovino with Homan is like putting new lipstick on an equally dangerous pig.

A total reorganization of the cited agencies from the ground up probably has little to no chance of happening given the current climate, i.e., MAGAt majorities in both houses. Even so, the day will surely come when Congress reasserts its power of the purse and demands accountability for the actions of these rogue agencies.
