Biden’s response has been nothing short of a disaster. We’ve known for years this was going to happen, he should’ve rolled out a full throated outrage response when Amy Boner Carrot was confirmed. Instead we get mealy mouth milquetoast pablum crap. A friggin abortion study task force!?! A SCROTUS expansion study group?!? He’s still, after everything, after two impeachments, after a coup, after COVID going to zero, in the Tip and Ron are going to have a beer and solve all our problems camp. It’s infuriating. Democrats could make major gains this year by campaigning on abortion front and center, all day every day. And where is Harris? I had more faith in her. Goddammit.
VPs are really limited in the extent that they can contradict presidential messaging. I'm pretty ambivalent on Harris in general, but I feel like this is mostly on Biden.
While I agree with the main thrust of the article, yes the President should be more forceful in his words in response to the decision and the administration should have been prepared for the outcome(I think they were), it is very easy to be on the sidelines telling someone exactly what they should be doing or should have done without knowing all the President and his teams’ background information or possible further strategies on this.
Elections have consequences so let’s elect more democratic Governors and Senators so the Will of the people can actually mean something. Sure, we want more from Biden and his Team but when your own party can’t be counted on time after time for verbal and voting support it makes for a difficult situation.
Really CONTROL the Senate and then we can go after the Filibuster and the EXTREME Court

I guess. The way I see it we’re in an existential crisis which means norms should not apply.
sure...getting upset with a politician for this kind of bedrock careerism seems like shaking your fist at the sun for coming up a bit, though.

May I say: "Harris-Cheney 2024" yet?
I mean, you can. Should you? probably not! (probably never...)
