Simon Rosenberg on how Dems can finish off the MAGA movement in '24

"If we can come out of this election with a sense that finally the American people have risen up and said 'no more,' it will start to loosen MAGA's grip on the GOP."

This week's edition of the Aaron Rupar Show features Simon Rosenberg, author of the Hopium Chronicles and a longtime Democratic strategist, on the political state of play as we head toward 2024. We discuss the stakes of this election cycle and the importance of MAGA suffering a decisive defeat, Biden's strong record and why Simon isn’t especially worried about it not yet showing up in polling, how Trump's legal problems are an albatross for the whole Republican Party, and much more.

Simon’s commentary synthesizes 30 years of political experience with fluency in polling and economic data and a journalist’s instincts for storytelling. As we talk about during the podcast, he was right in forecasting that the 2022 midterms would be tight while many pundits predicted a red wave. I learned a lot during our wide-ranging chat, and I think you will too.

Listen to the audio of our conversation at the top of this post, or watch the footage below via my YouTube page.

Next week’s episode will feature comedian Jay Black, who you might know from his political jokes on Twitter. I look forward to having some laughs with him.
