Hi Aaron and hi Tim! Yes, we now have to consider that Ukrainians could become anti-American. I hope, Tim, that you are able to explain to those you speak with that we are currently held hostage by the MAGA faction in Congress who, under the guise of holding back the work of Congress for the purpose of helping their intended dictator resume power, they are also helping Putin take down the US. We are in full asymmetrical warfare here and too many of us don’t know this. Slava Ukraini!

I subscribe to the Counteroffensive. I am concerned with the lack of funding for Ukraine from both the EU and the USA. I am hoping that plan B to release frozen Russian funds to Ukraine takes place in addition to releasing the funds from the USA. Since Hungary is blocking the EU funds, and it looks like Slovakia is too, I hope that both "leave the room" when funding is discussed in the EU. https://www.rferl.org/a/slovakia-rejects-aid-ukraine/32676296.html

I have recently been suggesting that Ukraine hire Africans as mercenaries. That is the youngest continent and Europe might be the oldest, or is it Asia? I just looked it up, and according to this it is both. https://www.prb.org/resources/countries-with-the-oldest-populations-in-the-world/#:~:text=Asia%20and%20Europe%20are%20home,those%20ages%2065%20and%20above.

In any case, Ukraine should take advantage and offer to pay Africans with both money and a path to citizenship that can be a path to the EU as Ukraine wins against Russia it is more likely to get EU citizenship. I thought of this as I read that Russia is forcing African and Middle Eastern refugees into conscription now that Finland has closed the border. So, why should Ukraine not recruit and pay, mercenaries. They will need to teach Ukrainian and train them for battle, but that can help with motivation and age. Many Africans, hurt by the EU and Asian fishing industries have no way of earning money, and doing battle in Ukraine might be safer than getting on a ship. Sending money back home might be helpful too. In fact, spending money on manpower might be a welcome reason to release Ukrainian funds because it throws a new dynamic in.

Thanks for this Aaron & Tim 👍- TheCounteroffensive is a must-read to keep a focus on the human side of what being invaded by Russia means for Ukrainians who are either on the frontlines, or in all walks of life being affected by the loss of homes, loved ones, peace & security, etc. It is doubly frustrating to watch the MAGA republicans trying to both destroy their own democracy and also the chance of Ukraine keeping it's own against an actual invasion by a much bigger country. Look forward to keeping informed by you both in 2024, which promises to be a pivotal year for democracy in both countries in different ways.

God Bless Tim Mak. Seriously. This shit is so real. We had Ukrainian refugees move in next to us and they are such wonderful, warm people, but there is a sadness about them. They wish they didn't have to be here. I'm so infuriated that the Rs are holding aid hostage to Ukraine. I'm just livid about it. Fools dragging them and the US into a bit shitstorm.
