Thank you. These people have sold their souls to a madman. They have no self awareness at all. I am sorry, they need to seriously consider revoking citizenship on these bad actors. Benedict Arnolds, one and all…

Re the Court’s conservatives. Alito will have quite the conundrum. Because while he was at OLC, he authored the OLC opinion on the appointments clause that reasoned that appointments like Halligan’s are illegal.

Trump is so excited to be at the US Open he can barely keep his eyes open.

This is all good news but I've every confidence Trump will appeal and if he loses will find somone unethical enough bring a bogus prosecution. Some people will do anything for money and Trump has a lot of it.

Every individual in this administration and every member of Congress who remains silent in regards to his many illegal actions will carry the stain of their complicity with them for the rest of their lives. History will not remember them for their weakness and ignorance.

It looks like some parts of the legal system may still work, at least until anything reaches the Roberts’ most creative court. All these articles about Comey and I’ve yet to see one even mention his key play, comparable to whatever the Russians did, in getting Trump elected. You’d think the Great Menace would be grateful. Comey deserves whatever he gets. I’m glad our legal system still has some rails, but I have to admit, Comey deserves the ride. With respect to his subsequent regrets, indeed James, it is a nightmare none of us can awaken from.

Daddy huffs, Bondi and Leavitt puff … but the shaky house still stands — not everyone has sipped of the Kool-Aid.

Great piece but note: that woman in the tennis photo is Leavitt, not Bondi. Caption’s off.

The conservatives on the Supreme Court may have an ideological agenda that is both substantive (overruling Roe, for instance

) and procedural (killing the Voting Rights Act, allowing partisan gerrymandering, for instance). But it doesn’t extend to helping Donald Trump win his personal vendettas. I can’t see them blessing the Halligan shenanigans. The cost to the Senate advise and consent regime would be too high.
