Until we all accept the fact that none of asks to be born and we don’t get to choose our race, we will always have a problem. It’s an issue as old as time itself. The Civil War physically ended in 1865, but it was a hollow victory. The south has always resented that they couldn’t have slaves, so they made sure to keep people of color poor through crappy government. Economic oppression is just as evil. The burning of an entire business district in Tulsa is proof of that.

Thanks for the cautious optimism about Tennessee. My fingers are crossed Behn comes home with a W.

Great reporting as always. Fair and balanced, with a healthy dose of reality.❤️

Wow…that image co-opting Lincoln for fascism. It’s right out of Brave New World.

Ah, yes—white supremacy! Big beautifully captured by its leaders: Incompetent buffoons and sexual predators to whom all facts wither before their transcendence.

If it walks like a racist, talks like a racist, employs like a racist, and smells like a racist, it must be a GOP, trumpster, maga, racist....

I certainly don’t look for or at every campaign poster or imagery, but I am struck by how much Behn’s image looks like half the women in Trump’s circle, especially his Press Secretary KKKaroline Leavitt. “Let’s sow confusion” must be the first campaign slogan.

Plus, fewer and fewer campaign flyers and signs indicate the party. And the meme of the Lincoln Monument is clearly an example of in-your-face propaganda. Say you’re a racist without saying you’re a racist.
