Trump isn’t just a man with bandaged hands, he’s the tumor that keeps metastasizing through the body politic. The discoloration isn’t confined to his skin; it’s the rot spreading through institutions, courts, and parties that keep feeding him oxygen.

America doesn’t have a leader, it has a malignancy; a cancer that thrives on spectacle, lies, and cruelty, while the rest of the nation is forced to live with the symptoms.

The real diagnosis is clear: until the cancer is cut out, the country will keep wasting away under its spread.

Reminds me of John Dean's famous "there's a cancer on the presidency" statement. Only this time the cancer *is* the President. But, alas, this POTUS does not seem to have any John Dean's around.

Excellent review! And an excellent question posed: Where is his family? The man is obviously, visibly, failing - both physically and mentally - is there no one who cares beyond achieving the white supremacist dream?

Reminds me of that Twilight Zone episode (The Masks??) where they've gathered to watch the old man die. They're giddy with greed until they take the masks off.

When the images of the swollen ankles appeared, my immediate thought was congestive heart failure related to type 2 diabetes (his diet is atrocious). He hides his medical information from the public, so who the hell knows what issues he has. It could be several issues at his age. All of them could be connected to the insane behavior. Either way, we are not going to get to the truth until the autopsy. Trump is a puppet at this point. No one in his administration is going to sound the alarm until they have to, and only then if they are sure their hold on power is complete. I can only hope that this is not the case. Thank you, Aaron.

I didn't see your comment while I was replying above, but I bet they don't release the autopsy.

"President Donald J. Trump, 45th and 47th President of the once United States, passed away peacefully in his sleep of old age, surrounded by his 5 children, 100 grandchildren, his adoring (hooker) movie mogul wife, Melania, and all who loved him. A good time was had by all as they passed around bottles of Tattinger (not the cheap stuff like Moet), danced to YMCA and cashed in their bitcoin and crypto so fast the market crashed.. Services will be private as he is buried at Bedminster golf club next to his beloved first wife Ivana Trump because Arlington National Cemetery wasn't going to allow their hallowed ground to be defiled by this loser...and he can forget about an eternal flame 🔥😂

There are many causes for ankle swelling in the elderly. I don't have congestive heart failure but my ankles used to swell until I started exercising. Sitting for long periods can cause fluid to pool in the feet and lower legs, and Trump doesn't exercise. Even when he plays golf he rides around in a golf cart. If I lived in the WH I would swim in the pool and use the gym every day, but not Grandpa Donny.

You are correct. Type2 diabetes was my first thought because it has claimed at least 3 lives in my immediate family, my paternal grand mother, my dad 46 and 45 years ago, and my brother in February.

I should have mentioned that Trump's ankles seemed way too bloated for a mere symptom of age. I do think he has cardiac issues based on the fact that his ankles were so swollen that his socks couldn't conceal it. That's not normal even for a man his age. Looks like heart failure to me.

It really is odd that his glowing medical "report" mentioned hardly any medications; not typical for a 79-year-old with a weight problem and, as you said, an atrocious diet, AND a stressful job. I too wonder how on earth he doesn't have Type 2.

These are all signs of Alzheimer’s being treated by infusion, IV through the hand, MRI to assure lack of brain bleed or swelling. The infusions are given monthly. The extreme inability to control speech is typical of frontal lobe limitations, and the nodding off is also typical of Alzheimer’s. It’s time to tell the truth.

Why doesn’t dozy donny have a PICC line painlessly inserted into his side, to receive sedation and medication during his frequent treatments for dementia? Treasonously I ask, as my 2018 PICC during ECT spared me innumerable needle sticks for IVs. Donny then could avoid discomfort and bruising on his hands, and the need for Band-Aids and makeup.

Yes, he’s covering up real wounds, obvious skin damage, a balding scalp, missing teeth, a catheter, crimes against humanity, and financial malfeasance. All affect his work, personal life, financial accounts, and our country writ large if not the world. Once he’s either in the prison processing line or hospital or morgue we will finally be certain that he has been unfit, mortally ill, and criminally liable.

Yeah, if it proved he had Alzheimer’s or dementia while making these terrible unhinged statements and decisions and had no right to be running the country when he had mental issues and his doctors always hid everything about him. During Trump 1.0 he ransacked his doctor’s office to steal his files. Because he was taking medication for hair loss. And the doctor admitted DJT dictated the letter about his superb health back then. It would mean the doctors knew and were hiding. “Dr”. Ron “Candyman” Johnson said he was in the most incredible shape and he would live to be 200. Hyperbolic much? Come on. That’s ridiculous. We found out towards the end with Reagan that Nancy was running things for awhile, but they were honest about his disease and cause of death. That entire family would cover up to the end.

Three infusions for treating Alzheimers exist: donanemab, lecanemab, and aducanumab. All three can cause reactions at the infusion site (such as the back of the hand), edema (swelling, such as cankles), and/or brain swelling . . . which may require frequent MRIs to monitor. Oh, and frequent cognitive tests.

I suspect Rexulti, which has sleepiness as a side effect. The bandaged hand and the dozing started at the same time. It’s to treat the agitation associated with dementia. The website is almost funny in how it describes the symptoms. It was as if they wrote it about Trump.

There’s another drug that slows the progression of the disease (forget the name) - that requires regular MRI monitoring for brain clots.

Why won’t the media WAKE UP?

This shit’s progressive - he’s only going to get worse and more dangerous than he already is.

I am much more worried about Trump's cognitive and emotional functioning than his physical health. The evidence that things are not as they should be in these departments are as clear as day and the only 'comforting' thought is that his baseline functioning of 8 years ago was pretty low too, which makes it harder to see a decline.

What the media can do is its bloody job. If Trump really doesn't know why he had an MRI that would be evidence of very serious intellectual decline. Every doctor explains why they want it to their patients, and are usually at pains to do it simply if they suspect the patient is let us say not overburdened in grey matter. Clearly Trump is lying through his teeth or his cognitive performance really has slipped to levels worse than even his opponents fear. He should be made to tell which of these possibilities is true!

Expand full comment
Marycat2021's avatar

And there is no such thing as a "perfect" MRI, but Trump seems to think there is a perfect score just like his insistence that he "aced" a cognitive evaluation.

Trump also knows why he had the MRI and on what part of the body it was performed on. I have never heard of an MRI being done unless it was to monitor a specific treatment or to diagnose a suspected abnormality.

Even Joe Biden never got an MRI as part of his annual physical, but Trump did, along with two trips to Walter Reed (that we know of). Trump looks like shit these days, too.

Speculation of Alzheimers treatment make sense. There are drugs requiring monthly infusion, given in the hand. Patient may need a few days to recover afterwards - media need to track his days out of public view compared to "freshness" of bruising. Frequent MRIs are needed, and thinning hair is a side effect.

So glad you’re continuing to shine a light on this, Aaron🙏🙏

It’s been my experience when working with family members of older adults, there’s seldom a groundswell of concern for their welfare if it hasn’t previously existed. It CAN happen, of course but this isn’t your typical family. Having the Donald remain in the WH will largely provide the greatest benefit to them collectively and individually.

I just find it increasingly hard to believe that no journalist who covers the WH and presumably has inside sources has not delved into the story of this guy's rapidly deteriorating health. Surely one of them can find a source/sources who would speak anonymously(and not just off the record). Why does the press tiptoe around what is a shockingly obvious and serious story, while they were *all over* Biden and his mistaking two leaders for one another? That story had to have lasted at least a week in front page stories. So all we have is speculation or a few enterprising Twitter sleuths like Adam Cochran trying to figure out what the hell is going on with him.
