Previously, Trump claimed to have ended eight wars in eight months … amazingly, he has also ended the war in Iran some 34 times! Gotta be a new record.

Political Science is complex. Politics is pretty simple. The news coverage is incomplete. Otherwise, Trump would never have been elected nor even rich. The many talking heads on TV and the overwhelming inanity of the manosphere podcast business have not informed the general public well enough for people to learn that politics shape our lives daily, deeply, and constantly. “I don’t follow politics,” is both incorrect and inane. Every penny spent is a political choice and statement.

Agency! If you DON'T "do" politics, it will CERTAINLY "do" you, regardless!

Hopefully all the apathetic 80% from 2024 will actually VOTE this time...with agency, your vote counts: with apathy, you get whatever you get, since you chose NOT to participate.

Gas prices soaring, Epstein still on Page One … he fixed everything.

I remember gas prices being very high during Dubya's presidency, yet no one blaming him for them. As someone who's traveled to countries other than North American, I've always had little patience for the moaning and groaning of Americans who buy outsize vehicles they don't need when it comes to gas prices. The solution is not merely electric vehicles (electricity doesn't come without cost) but public transportation, readily available in most countries, even the ones far less "developed" than the U.S. Perhaps we should look again at high-speed trains, at electrically powered buses, at more efficient and safer underground trains, etc., not just at EVs.

An intercity train, the Colorado Connector (CoCo), will run along the I-25 corridor from Fort Collins to Pueblo. It will run along existing freight railroad tracks. Initial funding for the project between Denver and Fort Collins has been approved; a vote in August will determine whether a sales tax increase will be placed on this November's ballot. There is high public approval. Innovative projects can be found when looking beyond bicoastal locations.

America is a huge land mass. Cities can utilize mass transit, but it's impossible in rural communities.

I work with hardcore MAGATs. When petroligarchs were price gouging after COVID to recoup their losses from lockdowns, mu MAGAT cult coworkers were constantly bitching about gas/diesel prices being Biden's fault somehow. When I noted that the President does not control gas prices, my boss said "but his policies can raise gas prices." Fair enough; but Biden actually had us producing MORE petroleum than ANY country in the world --EVER-- in history, and we were technically "energy independent"...and yet the price jumped DESPITE his efforts.

Fast forward to now, when the PedoPINO has started a war of choice that is LITERALLY the cause of gas being more expensive globally...and not a PEEP out of my MAGAT coworkers regarding prices.

All the farmers also complain about how quickly ag machine/implement prices have risen ("Ten years ago it was HALF that!"), yet don't understand that successive waves of tariffs by both PedoPOTUS (1st [legitimate] term) and PedoPINO (2nd term post-insurrection) added AT LEAST 25% to anything steel, and COVID lockdowns --in part due to PedoPOTUS' bungling of COVID response--created inflationary pressure due to lack of new supply. Most of what angers them is what they voted for!

Americans need to keep hammering this so that our fellow Americans stop legitimizing or believing the Republican disinformation campaigns. Gas HAS NOT and WILL NOT decrease in price as long as the PedoPINO pursues his war of choice: that's the reason no LEGITIMATE POTUS has attacked Iran, despite their destabilizing influence, human rights abuses, and terrorism.

"At this point we should acknowledge that there is one group of Americans who doesn’t care about high gas prices: people who drive EVs, an industry Trump has attempted to destroy."

This is not quite true. I drive an EV. I'm hoping gas prices rise through the roof because I hate Trump. One of the reasons I hate him is that he helped make my EV more expensive.

Little, isolated villages in Ireland have reliable bus service, as does rural India. We don't need to reinvent the wheel.

Trump started a war that just won't end because Iran has discovered the US is a paper tiger. This, Epstein, ICE and inflation are slowly killing the GOP. Trump doesn't seem to care because he just gets more and more batshit crazy and hateful.
