It's not a stretch of the imagination to imagine Trump, a la Martin Sheen's Presidential candidate character in "The Dead Zone," picking up a toddler to use as a tiny human shield, given his clear lack of concern for any humans NOT named Donald Trump. As he has proven from his draft-dodging, his Führerbunker beneath his Epstein Ballroom, and his ongoing blocking of the Trump-Epstein files, he is a coward of the highest order; his cowardice, however is "trumped" only by his belief that he is above all others, using other humans solely as commodities, whether as unpaid slaves to complete work on his buildings without pay, as child sex slaves with his bestie Epstein, as political rhetorical punching bags, or --as we just saw-- as human decoys whose deaths he would forget within a week.
