Well, of course the gop senate will do nothing to stand in the way of their king.

They will absolutely acquiesce to every one of these u qualified nominations. We are about to witness every republican in congress giving up their power and getting on board with the agenda of 45 and project 2025. I doubt we will make it to 2026 with fair elections, but even if we do, with all the disinformation, I'm not even sure we will susuccessfully defeat them.
"It’s always a mistake to apply three-dimensional chess reasoning to Trump’s choices rather than basic snake-brained motivations." I totally agree, and I agree that Senate Republicans (who also don't play 3D chess) will probably confirm Trump's nominees, at least most of them, because they don't care about the damage they'll do. However, when Trump and his nominees start doing things that begin to tank the economy, raising inflation, costs and interest rates, then voters, donors and CEOs, will pay attention because everyone cares about money. It'll be Republicans up for re-election in 2026 who'll pay the price, and neither Trump (a lame duck on day one) nor Muskaswamy will suffer or care. Trump can receive out-and-out bribes with immunity, and he can pardon those who pay him. Trump only wants absolute power so he can rake in money and anyone who helps him do that will be viewed favorably. However, when things start to tank, he'll also blame Congressional Republicans. We're not going to see them working in an efficient, systematic manner; it'll be more like Lord of the Flies IRL. We'll see more political sabotage, backstabbing and leaks to the press than during Trump's first term. Muskaswamy are strutting around in the hubris, but most Congressional Republicans don't want them running the show, taking away their power. It's going to be ugly and a lot innocent voters will be harmed.
Voter apathy and voter ignorance. We cannot have a democracy given this state of affairs.
Maybe things have to get worse.
Republican senators individually don’t have the backbone or guts to stand up and do their constitutional duty but they might as a group. That’s what I was hoping. Alternatively we just have a hopeless situation and the only hope that might be left is that making things so bad wakes people up. It seems like we are screwed at every turn, even the press is weak because of social media’s rise.
“This maintained their faux-moderate credentials without jeopardizing Trump’s agenda. That looked to be the case for the GOP’s attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act — Collins and Murkowski’s “no” votes would’ve been performative without the late McCain’s surprise vote to save the health care law.”
Exactly! Excellent newsletter: Mic Drop! Not to mention, besides being a primary killer, Trump controls the purse strings of the party.
Additionally, it appears that unlike most Human beings, republicans in general, are invertebrates by nature..:)
While Musk can never be president due to being an immigrant, he is conspiring to take over the government and I wonder what trump will do when Musk becomes bigger news than trump. Just thinking!

Ourselves.

Musk and his money is threatening our country. We have known for years that money in politics is a threat. All the chickens are coming home to roost.
The plan of the men who made our government was to keep the populous ignorant so that our lives are owned by rich.
How can we denounce people for something that was planned by our government? They want us to be apathetic and ignorant; thus,
Except for Black women, we are apathetic and ignorant.
👎 Too broad a brush... 50% of us ....

I've read/heard (on political podcasts) that Trump might be getting sick of Musk hanging around all the time and living at Maralago.
I hope Trump gives Musk the boot, but I'm not counting on it!

Matt Gaetz just removed himself from the attorney general nomination … so now Senate Republicans can safely fold. Hegseth, mini Gaetz? We’ll see …
