What isn't funny is that in his frenzy to find a scapegoat he's had people arrested for just TOUCHING the water in the pool. Wags have remarked that the charges will stick about as well as the pool lining, but in the meantime innocent people will have to run up.big legal fees and of course relentless vilification by the obedient North Korean-style "journalists" on Fox. Death threats and hate-mail are a given.

One other totally petty and pedantic point, forgive me but I used to teach a writing course: Trump does not FLAUNT scientific expertise, because he has none to flaunt. He FLOUTS the expertise of others.

This proofreader decided not to comment. It's understandable, however, as flaunting is T's default option.

I plead guilty to being pedantic. But EVERYONE confuses those two words, and it aggravates my OCD.

I understand and empathize. If only it were only those two words!

Ah yes, graft! Wonder how much the kickback was?

Nothing like hiring a company called Green Water Solutions to work on his pool. Now it's turning green. When we get down to it, the color green is Trump's nemesis. The leader of Ukraine, Zelenskyy has a last name derived from the Slavic word for "green". Green colored amphibians (frogs) have been a symbol of The Resistance. Maybe green should be the color symbol for those against Dear Leader. The Irish had the right idea of green being a subversive color.

He’s Dennis the Menace, Problem Child, Wreck-it Ralph and Damien (of “The Omen”) all rolled up into ghastly huge package.🤦🏼‍♀️Billy Joel said it best: “Only the good die young”

Spot on, Tom!

DJT's life story does sound an awful lot like that of Damien Thorn (of "The Omen"). Funny thing, Damien was also born in June.

Coincidence? I think not.

The green of tainted money.

Yes indeed the Reflecting Pool saga illustrates much about Trump and his unfitness for office. But in all truth having him obsess about the pool is almost a good thing. He can't do too much damage there. I think the best outcome is to have him obsessed with showy, unimportant things and merely neglect his duties. When he puts his mind (instincts?) to things he's likely to do serious damage. Look at what he's done in the MIddle East!
