I sent Jon Ossof a donation after he questioned Blanche and Whiskey Pete at their hearings a few weeks ago. Seems like its time to send more.

“The senator’s quip was a Thomas Nast cartoon sketched with four sentences.” Brilliant!

I agree with your content completely, but I need to compliment your wonderful writing in this piece. Truly superbly crafted prose.

Ossoff has been separating himself from the pack for some time now and it’s time people notice. Great article.

Thank you Tom for this Substack. It was so enticing that I finally became a paid subscriber. This sentence rang out: "The better way to impeach Trump is to rattle his confidence and destroy his heavily-curated image as a tough and competent patriot." Thus far, Jon Ossoff will get my vote. (A Chicagoan, I'm also a Pritzker fan.) Alas Tom, what you do not understand, and what I suggested in other Comments, Harp is an undercover KGB officer, like one of my favorite shows, "The Americans." Natalie has been at it for a while. We haven't noticed her before because she was keeping a low profile. But what she and the CIA didn't count on was that Trump would fall for her. Hard. He became as enraptured as Romeo. Actually, this reveal has endangered her. Now that Harp has been identfied, every move will be examined. How can she take notes and send them secretly to her handlers if every member of the media has eyes on her? It's sad, really. She was performing so perfectly that Trump promised her the nuclear codes. Then, she became famous. Deadly for a spy. But soon to be a major motion picture.

For at least some of us literary types, Ossoff's "travel with Natalie" reference echoes the Steinbeck title "Travels with Charley." Charley was a poodle.

P.S. "Harp strikes a chord" had me groaning and laughing out loud at the same time. Good one!

One word. One delicious cookie. Fluffernutter.

Separated into two words. A poorly prepared confection.

Would be forgettable if not so absurd.

Fluffer nutter.
