Whenever I think of Johnson, I think, “you can run, but you can’t hide,” you little gutterweasel. He is a coward to the core, running from pressure, feigning ignorance, pretending he’s doing a great job. And probably hiding a less-than-savory personal life.
A Speaker, or any Congressional representative, can be effective or ineffectual on one or several issues. Johnson has hit the trifecta. Worst for this Congress, worst for America, worst in history. A Wikipedia paragraph at best.
The sausage making prevents any legislator from voicing such a succinct and damning recounting of the perfidy and shallowness of Johnson and by association the entire Republican party. If things are to change, we need fighters and truth-tellers. How bad does it have to get before we get more Ossoffs ? Fighting by other means requires more of those who welcome the hatred of the christo-fascists.
Your reference to Johnson being Igor is perfect. It made me think of Mel Brooks Frankenstein, where “Eye-gor” was brilliantly play my Marty Feldman. That’s the closest version to Johnson (except that was comedy while we are living in a tragedy).
