Ignorance is no excuse when you are Speaker of the House. It just makes you look stupid. Like you’re the fall guy for your mostly MIA President. Which increasingly he seems to be. When are these people going to realize that Trump may have immunity but they don’t? The court of public opinion will not be kind to Johnson, Bondi, Patel, Hegseth and the many other stooges for Trump. Johnson has learned lying and shifting blame at the feet of his Dear Leader. 🙄

And "Justa Dick" Vance, who is trying to style himself as the heir apparent since it is clear Shitler's health is failing fast. I have a hard time believing Vance can capture the "culture" Trump created. He doesn't know how to connect to them. But I also never believed Trump would win one time, let along twice.

The problem with a cult is that one thinks everyone else has joined … or is discardable.

Well, they kinda have immunity if they can be pardoned (and that is IF anyone bothers to prosecute them).

I surely hope they televise the first ever surgery to remove a Speaker’s head from the President’s ass. Remember Kevin McCarthy? We don’t either. Hint… hint…😉

I’m glad to finally see the word “sadist” applied to Trump, because that’s exactly what he is - on top of being a malignant narcissist and a sociopath. He delights in cruelty because it makes him feel powerful. A more unfit, unqualified and despicable human being has never held the office he desecrates on a daily basis.

Great article!

In case there's a new reader on here who is liberal-curious or truth-curious, I'm going to say what I say constantly on social media:

Medicaid doesn't provide an income or a paycheck, and all benefits are paid to health care providers. No able-bodied men are (or were) staying home playing video games because their next annual checkup will be paid for.

No matter what "actual studies" Mikey thinks there are.

Thank you for documenting the lies from the smarmy speaker of the House.

I am ignorant about the behind the scenes power plays going on in the House, but I imagine that the other rethuglican members are coerced to be quiet.

If you want a better understanding of slimy Mike Johnson, read Katherine Stewart's book, "Money, Lies and God" which my book club is reading right now. While I would not recommend skipping to chapter 8, I would say that chapter 8 is one in which you will find Mike Johnson, as one of the evangelizing Charismatic Christians, otherwise known as Pentecostal or NAR. It discusses what they believe, as does Christian Nationalist and Project 2025 expert Andra Watkins in her Substack, https://open.substack.com/pub/andrawatkins/p/what-is-the-new-apostolic-reformation?r=f0qfn&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=false

We need more political cartoons. This is all rich material and nothing is better for puncturing those in power.

Ah, yes Pious Mike — enshrouds himself in religiosity … lies disingenuously to protect a man who assumes the First Commandment pertains to him, and has broken the rest.
