What is depressing is we are discovering these ICE agent killers are "the worst of the worst." The killer in Maine was a recently hired ICE agent who has a long history of terrorizing people in his life. He threw boiling water at an ex-wife while she was holding his infant daughter, and just months ago said another ex should have her throat slit (the ex shared the audio with a local paper). One ex had called the military repeatedly to tell them about his history of mental illness (diagnosed bipolar since high school) and that he had no business being near a gun. He was fired from a local volunteer fire department because he got into yelling matches with his supervisors. No one gets fired from volunteer work with rural Maine fire departments! The only reason we know so much about him is that his ex talked to local reporters. We know almost nothing about other ICE killers unless people like exes are willing to talk. ICE is literally hiring people who are unemployable, simply because they are desperate for warm bodies to fill positions. And then we let these deranged hotheads lose on the street with no cameras, no oversight. We cannot allow ourselves to become numb to how wrong and awful this is. I live in Maine. We are normally a sleepy, quaint, rural state. If it is happening here, it is truly happening everywhere.

Only the best people.....?

Pre-9/11, in my job as a sales person, I entered client chemical manufacturing facilities; employers would routinely do pre-employment background checks. As a job candidate you agree to these checks as part of your future employment. Post 9/11 (facility security, where things can go boom) and with industrial safety culture taking a role (liability, safe behaviors, employee health and well-being, etc.), these background checks are performed ANNUALLY, required both by clients and employers as part of continuing employment. This includes random drug tests for everyone.

Background checks are performed by a couple of certified agencies, and include standard name/address/employment data, along with financial obligations, legal actions-criminal and civil, traffic violations, court records, etc. The only thing they did not cover was interviews with friends, relatives, and acquaintances (which occur with more intensive jobs involving government security requirements).

At the employee level, actionable flags for monitoring, discipline or termination, obviously include certain legal actions (felonies involving violence or weapons and DUI come to mind) and/or a failed random drug test (including THC). All in the name of corporate liability, safety, employee and employer security. If a sales representative is subjected to this type of scrutiny certainly law enforcement, ICE, and DHS, are subjected to even higher standards of pre-employment and continuous employment background monitoring? This is not a question. Of course, any law enforcement agent should be subjected to the highest standards of background checks.

Wait till they start killing Democrats. Why else would Rubio want to dismantle the ICC? Genocide against Americans is my guess.

The regime has already committed war crimes. The most visible being the blowing up of boats that brown people happen to be on. Lord knows what else these thugs are hiding.

“Now, it’s that the FBI has to “investigate” whether Salgado Araujo was a drug dealer, complete with a warrant application showing random photos of tiny bags inside Salgado Araujo’s work van.” This is a tactic to say we can’t talk about an active investigation, so the admin survive a few news cycles until the story goes away.

Actually, members of ICE are the "worst of the worst." All the MAGA handwringing over "safety" and "crime" is a joke. They are only "concerned" when they have the opportunity to put someone down, to bully, to make themselves feel mighty when they're anything but.
