Apparently, the poor dear Ms. Halligan shares at least 2 attributes with her puppet (yes, puppet) master: thin skin and a complete lack of self-awareness. Running to the NY Post to whine is pure orange-faced madman behavior. Clearly, she is out of her league but is so vapid, she doesn't realize it. If the Department of Injustice continues to serve up lawyers a la Ms. Halligan to prosecute its cases, I look forward to future slap downs by the judicial system for incompetence and out and out dismissals of bogus prosecutions.

As long as they don’t get one of the many partisan Trump~appointed judges! Not to say ALL Trump-appointed judges are partisan; they are NOT! But many ARE, unfortunately.

Of course, the possibility of judged tainted appointed by Drumpf is a worry but many of them have followed the rule of law and disappointed their malignant appointer.

FYI My grandmother spelled her name the same as yours.

Boo hoo. From the moment she was appointed, her lack of experience was called to attention. She is unqualified, period. Insurance claims and federal indictments are not the same thing. And the you hurt my feelings judge isn’t going to change any of the facts. She deserves whatever the judge throws at her. She didn’t have to take the job. Consequences need to be immediate. Thanks! Great insights here.❤️

Isn't publicly saying a judge "Hurt my feelings, boo hoo!" one of the WORST things any attorney can do, unless the judge is so clearly out of line any remotely-qualified outside observer can see it? The judge holds your case in the palm of their hand, so whining about the judge rebuking you for not having done your job is a really good way to get slapped down by that judge, and any other judge who's not Donald Trump's Personal Toady.

You really have to wonder how Halligan even got through law school, let alone passed the Bar Exam.

Question: Who would have thought that a Trump Justice Department could be this incompetent?

Answer: Just about everyone.

I've been struck by the outrageous hubris and arrogance of many of Trump's appointees who apparently believe they can do things for which they have no education and/or no experience. Maybe it's because they see that Trump was elected to be President with no education and no experience for that job.

Ignorance, “good looks” and loyalty are the requirements of the Trump Administration, not competence.

YES! Talk about incompetence! No one displays that better than Trump himself!

It's a good thing that Trump has a strong taste for good looking incompetents. I can think of 4 to begin with. My understanding is that a prosecuter shouldn't consider him/herself as a part of the administration but it's pretty clear that's how Halligan and Trump consider things.

How much money is it costing James Comey to fight off this Trumped-up case? How much psychic energy is he using to protect himself from the assault led by a Trump legal goon?

Comey has an excellent malicious prosecution case. SCOTUS says Trump controls prosecutions as part of his core executive functions. So, Comey will walk, but Trump has imposed massive money sanctions on him, and he has no recourse.

John Roberts and the Fash Five have created a government of thugs to replace a government of law.

IF we ever regain control of Congress, the FIRST thing we must do is pass term limits for the SC! That will immediately remove two of them. The second thing is to pass laws that require SC Justices to be bound by the same ethics rules that every other Federal judge must follow with built-in means of enforcement from outside the court!

We need to do that immediately bc you know Alito and Thomas will retire at the end of Trump’s term so he can appoint two younger replacements before he leaves office.

We also need to pass a law that Congress is REQUIRED to process a sitting President’s nominee timely so nothing like what Sleezebag McConnell pulled on Obama EVER happens again!

If it’s true that they could indict a ham sandwich, shouldn’t the sandwich have some actual ham?

The foreperson said he voted on the second indictment. He did not say the full grand jury voted on the second indictment. This should be run to ground.

This is about as close as any expertise-hating armchair lawyer is ever going to get to see how it would really be if they got the opportunity to play out "I could do a better job than them!"
