I celebrate the tenacity of E Jean Carrol and her legal team- it would be easy to bow to the pressure of Trump and his legal toadies but they have dug in and will not let him off the hook! And because Trump doesn’t like to be denied he will most likely act out as his his normal- attacking her in the media, whining about fake this, corrupt that, and on and on. You have the money (because you stole it from us- so just pay up and SHUT UP!

I note that SCOTUS (as controlled by the 'SCOTUS 6') gave Trump of the fully extended delay 'considering' if they wanted to review the case, and yet none of them could bring themselves to register a dissent to indicate they DID want to review the case. Another example of SCOTUS putting their thumbs on the scale for Trump, giving him the gift of time.
I do not pretend to understand why all these endless appeals need to take this long, whereas other cases can be decided quickly. Looks to poor simple me like the system is designed to favor the people with lawyers who get paid to work a case for several years, just to delay justice.
E. Jean is such a badass. Not only did she go camping with Fran Lebowitz, she was nominated for an Emmy as a writer for SNL in the ‘80s, she was the first female contributing editor to Playboy, and she went on crazy adventures with Hunter S. Thompson while writing his biography. Plus, her writing is fantastic; it’s incisive, thought-provoking, endlessly quotable, and just plain hilarious. Love her so much. Hope she squeezes every last cent possible from that bastard.
Narcissists fight tooth and nail to pay for anything. Any normal person would have paid and been done with it. Instead, we can now officially per SCOTUS call Teump and ajudicated rapist.
How broken is our legal system that this can drag out for years and now he wants to delay even after rejection by the Supreme Court? It's beyond ridiculous. Just pay her already.
