It is past time to put an end to Trump's tenure. The People in our Constitution decreed that "[t]he President . . . shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction" any "high Crimes [or high] Misdemeanors." Trump is guilty of "Conspiracy to commit offense or to defraud United States," which Congress (and a previous president) defined in 18 U.S.C. § 371.

As the Preamble emphasizes, "We the People" did "ordain and establish [our] Constitution" for particularly important purposes, including to "establish Justice" and to "provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves." The People in Article VI established that "the supreme Law of the Land" consists exclusively of our "Constitution" and federal "Laws" that were "made in Pursuance thereof" and "all Treaties."

Now, Trump is abusing our economic and military power to threaten our allies in violation of treaties that are part of the supreme law of the land. Trump shouldn't be given the chance to take us to war (military or economic) against our most important allies--especially when they're already combatting one of our most powerful enemies after it invaded and is destroying another nation.

Too many times and too dangerously, Trump has trampled on our Constitution (especially the First Amendment), federal laws made in pursuance of our Constitution and treaties. It is past time to impeach, convict and remove Trump from office.

Agree, 100%. Trump needs to be removed as a danger to himself, his nation, and the entire world. As do his henchmen (and henchwomen), who are a motley collection of cartoon villains as portrayed in the cartoons I watched as a child.

Do you think removing Trump (via the 25th, or impeachment, or natural causes) will stop the blatant abuses of power? I have my doubts. We'll still be stuck with JD Vance and (if he so chooses, as he probably will, at least at first) the Millers and Voughts and Homans and Noems and all the others who may be "just following orders" but are most likely making it up as they go along?

I'm told by those who know better than I that the old saying "The fish stinks from the head" isn't true; it's the innards that go first. True, a fish doesn't live long without its head, but I'm not sure that'll prove true of the Trump -> Vance administration. After all, we're staring down three more years of this, with a feckless Congress and an electorate that doesn't inspire confidence.

Thinking back to Criminal Procedure I and II in law school, this is superb reporting and analysis. Please re-post, regularly. Hard to rely on 'thin conservative skin', though, eh?

I am trying to put together in my head at what point lawmakers would move for impeachment.

TFG is underwater in the polls and, outside of the bubble of sycophants and the brainwashed maggots, is clearly dangerous in countless ways to people individually, nationally, and globally.

The founders of the nation must be weeping in their graves.

This article filled me with rage and almost made me weep, and I’m no founder and not in my grave yet. I can feel my blood boil just thinking about it- if I witnessed one of these KKKristi/Kavanaugh stops in person, I’m not certain what I might do….

It's the Department of Noemland Security, under the sadistic direction of Cruella DeVil.
