Most of us know it doesn't have to be like this. A fish goes rotten from the head and the rotten head of the fish that is the US government is why we are in our present state. Until this government's term is up there is only so much that can be done about it.
I just did a quick search for Sheri Mecklenburg and credentials. Noting this: "she drafted legislation protecting free speech in mass demonstrations..." What the hell happened to Ms. Mecklenburg? Was this prosecutorial misconduct worth the hit to her prior history, integrity, and credibility?

In 2007, Sheri founded the Women’s DNA Initiative to address a backlog of untested rape kits and drafted legislation to ensure that future backlogs are not overlooked. Sheri currently works with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, where in addition to being a dedicated trial attorney, she continues to be involved in a variety of initiatives to improve the court system and the community. She currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Federal Bar Association’s Chicago Chapter.

The prosecution attorneys involved in this corruption need to be sanctioned and disbarred.
