What saddens me is the real possibility that so many people who voted for this mess, especially self-proclaimed Christians, actually agree with him on the kind of country Trump and company envision: loyalty to a man who promotes policies of cruelty, hunger, ignorance, white male supremacy and with school yard bullying as his super power. Will no one speak truth to him and his crew? l was so naive to believe all people of faith wanted to feed the hungry, take care of vulnerable, have free elections. Now I know the new “great” America is based on earning healthcare or SNAP or the right to fair immigration processes. Where is human kindness and community in all this? Harder to find than I thought they would or should be.
