According to Ron Filipkowski's Today in Politics (3/27/26), which did not come out until after the Nils and Rupar discussion, Trump has been paying the Coast Guard out of DHS funding. That would explain the lack of media stories about service members and families struggling financially. I assume that FEMA is still not being funded? Now Trump is claiming he can pay TSA workers. If so, were they left to suffer these many weeks as a political weapon? Or is this another case of Trump's claiming power he does not legally have?

How does Trump’s executive order to fund TSA payroll? Was that real?
